Last year, the group decided to expand with three more buildings, each with suites that have their own private infinity pools, outdoor showers and views of Banderas Bay from each bedroom and bathroom.
The suites are self-contained and can be booked individually or in groups.
"These are not hotel accommodations but unique, private beachfront villas with all the services of a five-star resort," Hixson said. "We're trying to offer something in Puerto Vallarta that no one else is doing."
He calls the Puerto Vallarta Beach Club a "private, boutique resort."
A gate separates the three villa suite buildings from Villa Verano, but the entire compound can be booked for a group. The gate is then opened for free flow between the two sections of the property.
A range of services are available at the villa suites and Villa Verano.
The services of a butler are included in the rental prices; chefs, personal grocery shoppers and spa treatment providers are on call, and their services can be arranged in advance or by the on-site concierge.
The new villa suites and Villa Verano share a private beach, the only private beach in this area of Puerto Vallarta, Hixson said. There is a small, waterfront bar on the beach and services of beach attendants.
An on-site restaurant is in the planning stages. Until completed, guests' dining option are to prepare meals in their suites, hire a private chef or take a four-minute walk to the restaurants of downtown Puerto Vallarta, Hixson said.
Rates start at $300 a night for a one-bedroom suite. The Puerto Vallarta Beach Club pays agent commissions, and Hixson said he is eager to work with travel agents, particularly those who specialize in group travel and weddings."
